I am a driven person. Sometimes a bit too driven, and I admittedly sometimes find it hard to stop.
What's a girl to do?
I have spent a lot of time over the past couple of weeks feeling quite happy in my business, the security that it's bringing, and in meeting my goals. We're in a good place, but I'm finding myself feeling quite conflicted.
On the one hand, I feel content with where my business is. I want to sit back and enjoy the successes that my team and I have worked so hard to accomplish. We deserve it.
On the other hand, I fear that my contentment may be[come] complacency. I don't want to get comfortable. Businesses fail when they enjoy comfort for too long. And my innate drive fears complacency more than anything.
I have the itch to set bigger goals, work harder, and not stop for fear of something slipping away.
But I keep asking myself, why can't I just be content with what I've done? Why must I always go bigger?
So, here I am, a [sometimes too] driven entrepreneur torn between allowing myself to breathe and enjoy, and barrelling towards the next goal.
I'm torn between appreciation and driving forward, and then there's the guilt that comes from the idea of not fully conquering both.
I have no solutions, just day-to-day struggles to balance it all in my head, to pay everything it's due, and to keep on.
